Friends for life

Akaigawa Tomo is a 230 hectare symbio-resort in Hokkaido Island Japan bringing together sustainable design, restorative tourism and eco-friendly living in a microcosm of what community could look like in future. We created the name ‘Tomo’ which means ‘friend’ in Japanese and has echoes of ‘tomorrow’, to suggest the future vision this symbio-resort represents. The logo forms a Japanese ‘mon’ combining a house, table and leaf, to underline this holistic living concept.
